Wear A T-Shirt Made From Bamboo

The benefits of bamboo are abundant, beacause bamboo grows so quickly. It’s a resource that is not only sustainable, but also gives back to the environment. The bamboo that made these t-shirts were not drenched in fertilizers or pesticides, and were grown naturally with rain water, and sun. Not only that, these shirts are 100% natural, and 99% biodegradable.

Have you thought to yourself yet, How is Bamboo comfortable to wear? The wood is pulverized to separate the natural fibers, and the resulting fabric is soft, even softer than cotton. The manufacturers claim almost as soft as silk. The fabric is said to keep you cool in the summer, and warmer in the winter.

I can see it’s a very reasonable product. But it MUST have some drawbacks right?

I have a pair of bamboo socks and they are the most comfortable and soft articles of clothing that I own. I’d love a shirt made of the stuff!

Well apart from the fact that bamboo is the pandas ONLY source of food I don’t see how having a bamboo shirt would be a problem

Bamboo grows extremely fast, all over the world and people in many countries use it for an incredible variety of applications. While it is the Panda Bear’s food source, it is by no means scarce, and I think overall using this plant for many more things than we’re already using it for, would benefit wildlife as a whole substantially, as it could reduce the need for lumber products and plastics.

The only drawback that I know of is price, at least from what I’ve seen. The basic t-shirts made from bamboo that I’ve come across are sold for around twenty dollars or more, which is quite a lot compared to what you would pay elsewhere for cotton shirts. Also, there seem to be limited choices in colors and styles, though that varies from store to store and I probably just need to do more looking (I want to find regular pullover hoodies and longsleeve scoop neck shirts). Otherwise, it seems quite cool and I can’t wait to try out clothes made from bamboo when I can spare the cash. The bedsheets look tempting as well.
