Walk- Don’t Walk Road Tested Chair

There’s nothing pedestrian about this chair. Artisan John Carter combines fine art, interior design and social commentary for a truly one-of-a-kind creation. The New York City “Walk/Don’t Walk” signs actually work - and a remote control is included to turn them on and off. The legs are made from reconfigured, customized steel street sign brackets, with galvanized, heavy duty self-leveling feet.
The chair can come complete with all the genuine scuffs and stains of its New York City roots or can come “squeaky clean” with a fresh coat of paint. (more…)

Nokia has been playing with some concept ideas, coming up with the Eco Sensor Concept that comes in two pieces - the handset itself as well as a wearable strap. The strap is to monitor the owner’s vital statistics in addition to local weather conditions. There is no need for batteries with the wearable strap since it will hold solar cells that relies upon the power of the sun for juice instead. As for the phone, it will not be bigger than a relatively chunky timepiece, and will be manufactured from plant-based plastics and 100% recycled steel.
I just stumbled upon a great little device which would be a perfect holiday gift for every eco-friendly consumer. It’s the Hymini portable wind-powered charger. You can just strap it around your arm and it will charge your devices while your are jogging or doing your daily your bycicle ride to the next eco-friendly grocery store.
Nokia, the world’s biggest cellphone manufacturer, recently announced an eco-friendly phone.
