You know, I’ve always wondered why someone hasn’t come up with something like this for just about anything that uses power - I’d LOVE to see something that plugs in but also uses solar/wind/hydro/whatever… when the sun can’t provide all the power required, home electric can supply the difference.

At least it would minimize the coal-fired power required to run appliances like this!

This sounds like a great idea, but I wonder how much it actually works. Would you need one unit per room? And, would it keep a room cool even in 130°F weather [which is the norm in the summer where I’m from]?

But still, Kudos on the idea!

This is a really great idea! We used to run the AC all summer in Texas. It always felt like a sauna outside.
