Childrens Eco-Friendly Torch

Tuesday, December 25th, 2007

I don’t think kids really care about the environment, I’m sure they don’t even think about it.  Hopefully these friendly looking little torches should change that, as they are rechargeable and will never need batteries. They’re really cute too, and you can choose between a cow, frog or pig. Just squeeze the lever to create some juice and they’ll shine oh so brightly for a little while. It’s good exercise for the arms too.

Nanosolar PowerSheets Promises Super Cheap Power

Monday, December 24th, 2007

Unlike a lot of other energy-crisis solving trends that are forgotten about faster than a blink of an eye, the award-winning and groundbreaking Nanosolar PowerSheets are on sale today. They’re cheap, ultra-adaptable solar panels that can be printed on the side of pretty much anything, promising solar power anywhere you want it. At today’s launch, they still slide under coal’s $2.1-a-watt energy cost, though they’re not mass produced at the scale needed to bring it to the 30-cents-a-watt level they’re aiming for yet. But if they prove themselves on the field, the demand would quickly materialize for that kind of output.

The Spin-X Spin Dryer

Monday, December 17th, 2007

This is a great green gadget that will not only cut down on your energy consumption, but also cut your drying time by 50%.

The Spin-X Spin Dryer works using centrifugal force and minimum energy to suck up to a quart of water out of your laundry, thus making your conventional dryer time, or line drying time significantly less.

By greatly reducing drying time, the clothes dryer only operates for 1/2 the time or less, creating less heat for the Air Conditioner to cool, and extending the life of both the clothes dryer and the Air Conditioner because of less wear & tear.

In addition to pulling more water out of your clothing before heading into the dryer, it also removes detergents, perfumes, and chemicals out of your clothes . (more…)
