Childrens Eco-Friendly Torch

I don’t think kids really care about the environment, I’m sure they don’t even think about it.  Hopefully these friendly looking little torches should change that, as they are rechargeable and will never need batteries. They’re really cute too, and you can choose between a cow, frog or pig. Just squeeze the lever to create some juice and they’ll shine oh so brightly for a little while. It’s good exercise for the arms too.

Colorblock Recycled Bottle Lights

These hanging recycled glass bottle lights are a great idea, and great looking too. I only wish I had thought of this first!

Artist Jerry Kott takes used glass bottles, hand cuts them, then re-assembles the bottles, and polishes them to create these amazing colored sculptures. Each hanging light comes with a 14″ swag cord and is H17″ x 3″ diameter. Comes with a 40 watt frosted showcase bulb.

These do come with a hefty price tag, (Ranging from $190-$210 per light) so if you are crafty, you may want to create some on your own. If you have the money to blow, well, more power to you. (more…)

Pear light

This is a beautiful piece of art created by Nick Foley.  Only if I could come up with enough money to purchase this…

The light is custom made from hand-forged steel, this tree comes bearing fruit with rechargeable LEDs that allows you to take the lights with you down dark hallways. Once “picked” from the tree, each pear stays illuminated for about an hour. To bring it back to life, just place it back on the tree, where it will recharge for your night-viewing pleasure. (more…)

Water Saving Illuminated Shower Head

This water conserving illuminated shower head features color changing LED’s which are temperature sensitive. The light goes from white when the water is cold, to blue, then purple, then red when the water is hot.

This device takes no battery, or electricity what so ever, and is powered by the water running through it. Its also easy to install. Just unscrew your current shower head, and screw this one right on. (more…)

The Pharox LED Bulb will be a little bit on an investment in the beginning, but will definitely pay for itself with its energy efficiency, and lifespan.

The Pharox LED Lamp uses up to 90% less energy than an incandescent bulb, and Can replace up to a 40 Watt incandescent bulb with the same amount of light intensity.

The Pharox lasts 50 times longer with a lifetime of 50,000 hours lifetime, compared to 1000 hours of a standard incandescent bulb.
